Pineapples Fall Short, 2-1, at Maui
|
Maui Mahi-Mahi starter Sotatsu Sakurai hurled his team past the Lana'i City Pineapples, 2-1. Manny Gallegos notched his 1st save in 1 chances. The second-place Mahi-Mahi now have a win-loss record of 44-41.
Scott Zimmerman drew 1 walk in 3 plate appearances for Maui. The 21-year old designated hitter had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring walk off Wilson Scott. It was his 46th walk of the season.
"Sotatsu was Sotatsu," said Mahi-Mahi manager Eddy McBride. "He gave it all he's got."
