Lords Reel Off Another Win
|
The Castle HS Lords defeated the Snow Canyon HS Yeti, 4-2, in Western League action at Yeti Field. Castle HS pitcher Lee Meyer had a standout performance. Meyer went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 2 hits, walked 1, and struck out 3. His record improves to 2-0. Alonso Vargas earned the save, his 1st, for the Lords.
One significant plate appearance for Castle HS came with two out in the top of the second inning. Lords second baseman Glen Joseph hit a 2-run double, which helped his team go on to win.
"Nice win for us," said Meyer. "Now we'll go after the next one."
Castle HS has now won 6 in a row.
