Brophy Prep and Snow Canyon HS duked it out and the Broncos came out victorious.
Brophy Prep starter Ricardo Días put a stranglehold on the Snow Canyon HS offense. The right-hander had complete command of his slider in leading the Broncos to a 3-1 win. Días, now 2-0, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 2, walking 2, and allowing 1 run.
Josh Daniel aided the Brophy Prep cause with a run-scoring ground out in the top of the first. For the game, the first baseman drove in one run.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Snow Canyon HS skipper Wayne Myers, "and it cost us."
The last-place Broncos now have a win-loss record of 11-12.
