The Mankato West HS Reds got a magnificent performance from pitcher Larry Neal, who muffled the Sprague HS offense en route to a tight 3-1 Reds win at Mankato Park. James Miller picked up the save, his 7th. The Reds are now 11-14, while the Torchbearers fall to 11-14.

The Reds liked what they saw from Neal. The 16-year old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Torchbearers to no runs on 1 hit over 7 innings, and striking out 3.

"The effort we put into this one paid off," Neal said.
