The Wilson Classical HS Bruins picked up a win at Bruins Ballpark, knocking off the Horizon HS Huskies, 4-2. Starting pitcher Porter Oliver was an essential part of his team's success. Bobby Stevens earned the save, his 5th. Wilson Classical HS now sits in 6th place in the Western League Pacific Conference at 13-13.
Terrence Montoya, who is tied for 2nd in the WL in triples with 2, contributed to the Wilson Classical HS win with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
"We had a good game plan," Oliver said, "and we were able to execute it."
