Horizon HS rode a decent outing from starter Donald Blanchard to victory over the Wilson Classical HS Bruins. The final score was 4-3. Michael Clark finished the game for Horizon HS and earned his 6th save. With the win, the Huskies have a record of 15-12.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the eighth, with the game tied, Juan Maldonado was at the plate when Horizon HS scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Huskies to go in front, 4-3.
After the game, Horizon HS manager Johnny Green applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
