Lords Get Close Win Over Grizzlies, 2-1
|
Castle HS Lords starter River Brown was in fine form. He led his team to victory over the Rocky Mountain HS Grizzlies, 2-1. The Lords saw their win-loss record go to 17-12. At the same time, the Grizzlies fell to 20-9.
Jonathan Belcher, who is tied for 8th in the WL in triples with 1, aided the Castle HS cause with a run-scoring triple in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the pinch hitter was 1 for 1 with a triple.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Brown said.
