The first-place Rocky Mountain HS Grizzlies picked up another win.

Frank Rivera impressed in the 8-7 Rocky Mountain HS win over Brophy Prep. Rivera, who is tied for 9th in the WL with a .829 OPS, was 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The winner in relief was José Reyes. He is now 1-0. The left-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 5.1 innings. Mike Frost got credit for the save for Rocky Mountain HS. It was his 4th of the year.

William Rocha drove in one run for Rocky Mountain HS. In a tie game with one out in the bottom of the eighth, Rocha came through with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch. It put the Grizzlies in front, 8-7.

"Good win for us," said Rivera. "We'll strap it on and go after the next one."

The Grizzlies go to 23-11, putting them first in the Western League Northwest Conference.
