Billings West HS Beats Rocky Mountain HS, 3-2
|
The Billings West HS Lookouts trumped the Rocky Mountain HS Grizzlies, 3-2, at Meridian Park. Billings West HS left fielder Glenn Taylor was terrific. He was 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Jon Keller got credit for the win, improving to 1-1. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 4.1 innings. Tim Small picked up the save, his 1st.
Taylor contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Billings West HS in the top of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, Taylor took a slider from Robert Stafford and stroked the home run to right. His 4th home run of the season allowed the Lookouts to leap in front, 2-1.
Taylor told the Billings West HS Herald: "I think I thrive on conflict. It brings out my best."
The Lookouts are now 20-21, while the Grizzlies fall to 24-18.
