Reds Suffer 3-0 Loss to Thunderhawks
|
Right-hander Ron Garrett mesmerized the Mankato West HS Reds while leading the Tumwater HS Thunderhawks to a 3-0 victory. Garrett, the winner, moves to 4-2. He threw 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 1 walk. The Thunderhawks are now 19-25, while the Reds fall to 19-25.
It could have been a different outcome for Tumwater HS, had it not been for Pedro Gómez, the 16-year old left fielder . Gómez contributed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put Tumwater HS up, 1-0.
"I really like what we did out there today," Gómez said after the game.
