Roy Tames Matadors

The rain came, as predicted, but the Tumwater HS Thunderhawks and Boone HS Matadors were able to complete their ballgame.
Tumwater HS pitcher Cecil Roy did his part in helping his team beat the Boone HS Matadors, 4-2. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Lúcio Young recorded the save for Tumwater HS, his 10th of the season.
Roy, a native of Chicago, Illinois, was dealing all game. He kept Boone HS hitters off-balance, while giving the Thunderhawks 8 quality innings. Roy threw 110 pitches, allowing 3 hits and striking out 3.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Tumwater HS skipper Javier Cortéz.
Tumwater HS is now riding a 6-game win streak.
