Goths Beat Engineers, 4-2

The Windsor Canada Goths topped the Delft Engineers, 4-2, in Atlantic League action at Goths Ballpark. The standout performance belonged to Windsor Canada pitcher and Wide Open, England, native Tim Fretwell. Fretwell got the win, improving to 2-2. He allowed 6 hits and walked 0 over 6 innings. Fretwell allowed 2 runs. Windsor Canada is now 19-15.
The Goths got a big at-bat from first baseman Jeffrey Potvin. For the game, Potvin went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Windsor Canada a 2-0 lead.
"Bottom line," said Delft skipper Yukinaga Kawasaki, "we didn't play well enough to win."
