Goths Slap 5-2 Loss on Physicists
|
Windsor Canada Goths starter Dan Eassson turned in a top-notch performance against the ETH Zurich Physicists at ETH Accelerator Field. The result was a win for the Goths, 5-2. Eassson, now 2-2, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 4, walking 0, and allowing 2 runs. Keith Adkins earned the save, his 12th, for the Goths.
Windsor Canada used a well-timed hit by Bo Geels to capture the win. The left fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Goths ahead, 2-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"Winning is not something we take for granted," Eassson said.
The Goths sit in second place in the Atlantic League Ontario Division with a record of 23-17.
