Gannon Boyle was locked and loaded, helping the Bowness HS Spartans beat the Collegio San Carlo Kings, 3-1. Boyle got the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed 3 hits and walked 4 over 5.1 innings. Boyle allowed 1 run. Ed Cunningham earned the save for Bowness HS, his 4th of the year.
Drake Cox, the Bowness HS center fielder, contributed a 2-run single in the bottom of the second inning to make the score 3-1, Spartans. For the game, Cox went 1 for 3, while adding 2 RBI.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Boyle.
At 7-8, Bowness HS is in 4th place in the Atlantic Conference Canadian Division.
