Rifles Defeat Stallions, 6-1

The Eton Rifles got a strong performance from pitcher Albert Burgess, who stymied the Immaculata HS offense en route to a win, 6-1, at Immaculata Grounds. Eton reliever Nicky Dering picked up the win, raising his record to 1-0. Yasuhiro Sekine was tagged with the loss. Eton raised its record to 10-7 with the win.
It could have been a different outcome for Eton, had it not been for Bryan Kempson, the 15-year old center fielder . Kempson contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the 11th inning to put Eton up, 2-1.
"Our team showed some gumption," said Burgess. "I like it."
