Kings Sneak By Leopards, 1-0
|
The Collegio San Carlo Kings got a stellar performance from pitcher Louis Notenboom, who handcuffed the Strathcona HS offense en route to a win, 1-0, at San Carlo Grounds. Collegio San Carlo reliever Felicio Cimabue picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Tony Mesh absorbed the loss. Collegio San Carlo now sits at 9-7, while Strathcona HS falls to 5-11.
Pierluigi Aulenti was the walk-off hero for Collegio San Carlo. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Kings center fielder hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
"I found a nice groove out there," said Notenboom.
