Stallions Defeat Coasters, 3-2

The Immaculata HS Stallions topped the Nassau HS Coasters, 3-2, in Atlantic Conference action at Immaculata Grounds. The game was highlighted by the performance of Immaculata HS designated hitter Douggie Haden. Immaculata HS, at 12-12, sits in 4th place in the Atlantic Conference Canadian Division.
When he came to bat in the bottom of the tenth, Jim Raine had a chance to be the hero. Nassau HS pitcher Aaron MacElfrish had other ideas. But with no outs, Raine hit a run-scoring single. The Stallions had themselves a dramatic win.
"Our guys just had that look of determination," said winning manager Rafael Woodward.
