The Matanzas HS El Poeta used an offensive barrage to beat the Collegio San Carlo Kings, 10-2, at Matanzas Field. Daniel Aguilar led the way, going 3-for-5 for Matanzas HS. Picking up the win was Kyoji Kondo. He went 5.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 3 hits. The left--hander struck out 2 and walked 2. Matanzas HS is now 12-11, while Collegio San Carlo is 11-12.

Matanzas HS took the lead in the bottom of the third on a big hit from Hidekazu Iwasaki. On a first pitch fastball from Henry Boyd, Iwasaki hit a 2-run double. That made it 3-2, El Poeta. For the day, Iwasaki was 1 for 4 with a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2.
