Spartans Collect 4-3 Win Over Colossus
The Bowness HS Spartans weathered a fine game by South Kamloops HS shortstop Paco Saucedo to upend the Colossus, 4-3, at Bowness HS Ballpark. Saucedo went 4-5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs. Ed Cunningham picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Stephen Dawson was tagged with the loss. With the win, Bowness HS pushed its record to 17-14.

The Spartans relied on right fielder John Moody for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the 11th, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.

In postgame comments, Moody said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.
