Lewis Scarth was the difference-maker for the Canuck HS Battlecats in what turned into a shootout with the Nassau HS Coasters. Scarth went 3-for-4 in the 10-9 Battlecats win. Gerard Hughes earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 2.1 innings. He upped his record to 1-1. The Battlecats raised their record to 19-16.

The game came to an abrupt end with two out in the bottom of the ninth. On a pitch from Jake Duck, Butch Bates hit a run-scoring single. It gave Canuck HS the 10-9 win.

"Crazy game," said Scarth after it ended.
