Win Streak Now at 7 for Shamrocks
|
The Dublin Shamrocks beat the Montego Bay HS Mariners, 5-3. Dublin pitcher and Reading, England, native Elliot Shacklady led the way. Shacklady went 5.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 2, and struck out 3. His record improves to 3-0. Kensaku Matsumoto got credit for the save for Dublin. It was his 2nd of the year.
Ben Dyer, the 18-year old right fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Dyer contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put Dublin up, 1-0.
"This team keeps racking up the wins," said Shamrocks manager Todd Sarkies.
