Hounds Top Rifles to Even Record

The Point Grey HS Hounds downed the Eton Rifles, 5-4, at Ballpark of Vancouver. The Hounds were led by Rory Lachance. He went 3 for 4 with 3 singles. Point Grey HS reliever Troy Gamble picked up the win, raising his record to 2-0. Dwaine Coyfe was tagged with the loss. Jack Meadows earned the save for Point Grey HS, his 9th of the year.
Shigochiyo Suzuki, who is tied for 3rd in the AC in triples with 2, aided the Point Grey HS cause with a 2-run triple in the bottom of the third. For the game, the third baseman went 1 for 4 with a triple. He drove in 2 runs.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Point Grey HS manager José Díaz.
The triumph puts Point Grey HS at 18-18 for the season.
