The Nassau HS Coasters overcame a fine performance by Guantanamo HS first baseman Luis Herrera to defeat the Diamond Cats, 6-4, at Nassau Ballpark. Herrera went 1 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. Nassau HS reliever Quincy Goodier was the winner. His record is now 5-1. Andrés Ochoa took the loss. With the win, Nassau HS pushed its record to 27-12.

Luke MacPhee was the walk-off hero for Nassau HS. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Coasters right fielder hit a dramatic 2-run home run to send the teams home.

"It's great when the crowd gets into it," MacPhee said.
