Hunting Hills HS and Montego Bay HS duked it out and the Stags came out victorious.
Pedro Romano never let the Mariners get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Stags to a win, 4-1. The loss makes Montego Bay HS 16-22.
Had Liu-liang Chong not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Chong hit a 2-run single. That made the score 3-1, in favor of the Stags.
"I just trusted my stuff," said Romano.
