Colossus Rally to Eke Out Win
The Matanzas HS El Poeta got a sterling performance from pitcher Gael Wenden, but the South Kamloops HS Colossus still prevailed, 1-0. Wenden threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball. Reliever Darrel Josey picked up the win. His record improves to 2-1. Nobuo Arai took the loss. With the win, the Colossus have a record of 21-20.

The Colossus relied on center fielder Dave Desjardins for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the 13th, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.

"It's great when the crowd is energized," Desjardins said.
