Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Toros
The Club Deportiva Zaragoza Toros topped the Matanzas HS El Poeta by the score of 8-6, with the biggest share of the credit going to catcher Oliver Lyle. Lyle was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk for the Toros on the day. The winner was Club Deportiva Zaragoza reliever Magnus Reus, now 3-4. The loser was Miguel Garza. Roberto Pérez was credited with the save for Club Deportiva Zaragoza, his 12th of the season.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Billy Gaselee? The Club Deportiva Zaragoza left fielder had a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put the Toros on top, 4-2. For the game, Gaselee had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

Toros manager Tsurayuki Okamoto wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."

With the win over Matanzas HS, the Toros improved to 17-27.
