Linguists Knock Off Spaniards, 6-0
|
Lycee Fenelon took on San Felipe HS in front of a lively crowd.
Lycee Fenelon starter Daniel Riverol pitched well against the San Felipe HS Spaniards at Linguists Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a win, 6-0. Dominique Martinez earned the save for Lycee Fenelon, his 1st of the year.
The Spaniards had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Linguists going into the bottom of the third inning. That changed quickly when the 16-year old center fielder Roger Alexandre came to the plate. Alexandre hit a 2-run home run on a 1-1 fastball from San Felipe HS hurler Hi-yuan Cheung. It was Alexandre's 5th home run of the year.
"Winning is not something we take for granted," Riverol said.
Lycee Fenelon is now 24-22, while San Felipe HS is 17-29.
