Bowness HS first baseman Takeji Meshizuka had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 11-10, to Hildegard at Bowness HS Ballpark. Meshizuka belted 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. The Saints saw their win-loss record go to 20-26. At the same time, the Spartans fell to 25-21.

Hildegard used the timely hitting of Ronaldo Vega to capture the win. The pinch hitter socked a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Saints ahead, 11-10. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a big one.

Bowness HS manager Rossano Carlucci said he was disappointed with the loss. "Whenever you score that many runs, you expect to win the game."
