Stallions Get One-Run Win at Point Grey HS
|
The Immaculata HS Stallions eked out a 1-0 win versus the Point Grey HS Hounds at Ballpark of Vancouver. Nobody did more than pitcher Zhi-qiang Ec. He was terrific. The winning pitcher was Ec, now 3-1. He tossed 5.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 5. Immaculata HS, at 23-24, sits in 5th place in the Atlantic Conference Canadian Division.
Bob Bevan drove in one run for Immaculata HS. The 16-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the top of the second. With no one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Ernesto Márquez. It was his 3rd RBI of the season.
"Winning is always a team effort," Ec said after the game.
