The Kobayashi Fireflies relied on the hitting of shortstop Jorge Ayala to stop the Lana'i City Pineapples, 8-1. For the game, Ayala belted 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. The winning pitcher was Santiago Moreno. His record is now 14-4. The left-hander went 5 innings, allowing 1 run on 3 hits for the Fireflies. Jorge Silva was credited with the save for Kobayashi, his 1st of the season.
