Fireflies Fall to Pineapples, 4-3

Lana'i City and Kobayashi duked it out and the Pineapples came out victorious.
The Lana'i City Pineapples did just enough to sneak past the Kobayashi Fireflies, 4-3, at Dole Park. Lana'i City pitcher Pung-cho Yu, in particular, had a standout performance. Yu, the winner, moves to 4-11. He threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 12 and giving up 2 walks.
The Pineapples took the lead in the bottom of the second when Taylor Gallimore banged a two-out home run. Lana'i City had been trailing 2-1, but Gallimore hit a 0-1 slider from Gilberto Gómez for a 2-run home run.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Kobayashi skipper Patrick Wells.
Lana'i City, at 34-63, occupies last place in the Hawaiian League Archipelago.
