Pineapples Snag 5-3 Win
|
The Pineapples grabbed a win, 5-3, at Brewers Ballpark, overcoming a fine effort from Kauai pitcher Chee-hwa Shao. Shao went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs. Lana'i City pitcher Tringen Presser got the win. He's now 6-6. Sawao Matsuda was tagged with the loss. Lana'i City is 36-65 and Kauai, with the loss, 69-32.
Lana'i City used the clutch hitting of Byron Price to capture the win. The first baseman drilled a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to give the Pineapples the lead, 5-3. For the game, Price had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.
