Narrow Win Takes Ewa Beach Streak to 13
The Ewa Beach Imperialists topped the Maui Mahi-Mahi, 4-3, in Hawaiian League action at Rison Grounds. The standout performance belonged to Ewa Beach pitcher and Chiba, Japan, native Tetsuzan Hashimoto. The first-place Imperialists sport a record of 80-22.

In the bottom of the ninth, with no one out and the game tied, 3-3, center fielder Juan Sandoval won it for Ewa Beach. With a runner on 2nd, Sandoval hit a 1-0 curveball from Manny Gallegos for a run-scoring double, giving his team the 4-3 win.

"We're movin' and groovin' right now," said Sandoval.
