Xú, Rifles Sink Shamrocks Again in Game 2
|
Riding the 2-hit performance of shortstop Guo-dong Xú, the Eton Rifles got a road win against the Dublin Shamrocks, 6-2, in Game 2 of the Round 1 today. Xú hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the Rifles, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 0.
In the top of the first of a scoreless game, Xú hit a 2-run home run to put his team ahead.
"There's nothing like the postseason," said Xú, "to ramp up the pressure."
The next game is set to be played for Saturday, April 28th , 2040 at Rifles Ballpark in London.
