Rocky Mountain HS Tops Bellevue West HS Again, 2-0
|
Behind the big arm of right-hander Joshua Hansen, the Rocky Mountain HS Grizzlies have opened up a healthy early lead in the Round 1. The Grizzlies topped the Bellevue West HS Surge 2-0 at Meridian Park today in Game 2, and now hold a 2-0 edge in the best-of-7 series. Hansen threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball to power Rocky Mountain HS to victory.
Joe Donolly took José Félix deep in the bottom of the seventh. His 2-run home run put the Grizzlies on top, 2-0. In all, Donolly had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Hansen. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
Game 3 is scheduled for Monday at Bellevue West HS Grounds in Bellevue.
