Valturri, Mules Wallop Baysiders in Game 4 of R1
|
Instituto Politecnico Nacional left fielder Eugene Valturri produced all the offense the Mules would need today in the club's 8-1 win over the Sarnia Canada Baysiders.
Valturri went 2-4 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 and driving in 4, while Instituto Politecnico Nacional moved into a tie in the Round 1. The Mules and Baysiders are now even at 2-2 in the best-of-7 series.
In the bottom of the second, Valturri had one of his most important at-bats: a grand slam home run off Fu-chi Xiong that staked the Mules to a 4-0 lead.
Valturri said his team "played with determination."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Stables in Mexico City.
