Home Field Advantage: Badman, Taitung HS Open Round 2 with Win
The Taitung HS Hermits started the Round 2 in style today, downing the visiting Manila HS Water Buffalo at Taitung Ballpark by a score of 8-6 to grab an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Hermits shortstop Jamie Badman was 4-4 with 4 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 times.

Qi-chao King helped out the Taitung HS cause in the bottom of the third inning with a 2-run double. For the game, the designated hitter was 2 for 4 with a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 2.

"There was a kid in the stands with a sign that said 'Taitung HS Hermits (probably) 2040 Round 4 Champions'," Badman told reporters after the game. "I told him, 'Premature, but I like the confidence.'"

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Taitung Ballpark in Taitung.
