Mighty Moose, Eleven Play 10 to Settle Game 1, Anchorage Now Leads Series 1-0

One game in and the Championship is already looking exhausting.
The Anchorage Mighty Moose and the Cold Bay Eleven needed 10 innings to settle Game 1, with the Mighty Moose finally taking the 5-3 victory at Thunderclouds Ballpark. Excelling in the win was Anchorage starting pitcher Bing-zhong Wa, who threw 5.1 innings of 2-hit ball. The Mighty Moose and Eleven are playing a best-of-7 series.
Anchorage used a clutch hit from Joel Grummitt to get the win. The designated hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Mighty Moose ahead, 5-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I'm glad this one's going in the books as a 'W'," Wa said.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Thunderclouds Ballpark in Dillingham.
