Ewa Beach Wins at Home to Take 1-0 Lead in R4
The Ewa Beach Imperialists started the Surf and Snow Cup in style today, downing the visiting Anchorage Mighty Moose at Rison Grounds by a score of 5-4 to grab an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Imperialists designated hitter Li-hong Kin slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice.

The Imperialists took a 5-3 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. Facing Anchorage hurler Toshimichi Otsuka with two outs, Kin hit a solo home run.

"By the skin of our teeth, man," Kin told the Ewa Beach Daily. "But hey, it still counts. A few more by the skin of our teeth is fine with me."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Rison Grounds in Ewa Beach.
