Andong HS and Hsinchu HS duked it out and the Folk Warriors came out victorious.

The Andong HS Folk Warriors knocked off the Hsinchu HS Shock, 7-5, at Andong Park. Eiichi Iwasaki was a big reason Andong HS won. The designated hitter was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The winning pitcher was Edward Schut. His record is now 1-0. The right-hander went 5.1 innings, allowing 1 run on 4 hits for the Folk Warriors.

Iwasaki contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Andong HS in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, Iwasaki took a slider from Sotaro Hasegawa and stroked the home run to right-center. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Folk Warriors to leap in front, 2-1.
