Big Day for Pearson in 3-2 Islanders Win
Gregg Pearson left his imprint on the 3-2 Zhoushan HS win against the Port Lincoln HS Trawlers. Pearson was 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Jiao-long Zhu recorded the save for Zhoushan HS, his 3rd of the season. With the win, Zhoushan HS goes to 8-7, while the Trawlers fall to 12-3.

Pearson contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Zhoushan HS in the top of the fourth. With his team trailing 2-0, Pearson took a fastball from Ronald Oeltjen and stroked the home run to right-center. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Islanders to leap in front, 3-2.

Pearson called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
