Hermits Knock Off Shogun, 5-2
|
Led by Sy-ing Fok, the Taitung HS Hermits defeated the Kochi HS Shogun, 5-2. Fok went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Hermits. The winning pitcher was Rafael Moreno. His record is now 3-0. The left-hander went 5 innings, allowing 1 run on 3 hits for the Hermits. Taitung HS is now 12-5, while Kochi HS is 8-9.
Fok had no bigger at-bat than in the bottom of the fourth when the 15-year old first baseman hit a solo home run. The home run gave Taitung HS the lead, 1-0. It was his 5th home run of the season.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Fok. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
