Scots Go Down to Defeat, 4-0
|
The Zhoushan HS Islanders defeated the Dunedin HS Scots, 4-0, in Pacific Conference action at Zhoushan Ballpark. Zhoushan HS pitcher Pi-ao Tsung had a standout performance. In 5 innings, Tsung surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 1. He allowed no runs. The Islanders saw their record improve to 9-7.
The Islanders got a big at-bat from second baseman Wei Au. For the game, Au went 2-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 5th double of the season gave Zhoushan HS a 1-0 lead.
Au told a Zhoushan HS Daily reporter that he was "very satisfied" with the win.
