Old Guard Walk It Off for 8th Win of Season
The Tainan City HS Old Guard topped the Kanaashi Nougyou HS Red Dragons, 5-3, in Pacific Conference action at Old Guard Field. The standout performance belonged to Tainan City HS pitcher and Tainan, Taiwan, native Yu-shu Bing. Franck Duineveld, now 1-1, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 2 and walking 0. Tainan City HS is last in the Pacific Conference Pan Asia Division with a record of 8-13.

Xian Zhang was the walk-off hero for Tainan City HS. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Old Guard pinch hitter hit a dramatic 2-run home run to send the teams home.

"We did enough to win," said Zhang.
