Water Buffalo Need Extra Frames to Get Past Trawlers
Naizen Kurihara did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Port Lincoln HS Trawlers from losing, 3-2, to the Manila HS Water Buffalo at Trawlers Ballpark. Kurihara went 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The first-place Water Buffalo now have a win-loss record of 14-5.

Manila HS second baseman Winston Medina had a key at-bat for the Water Buffalo in the top of the tenth inning. Facing right-hander César Sepúlveda, Medina hit a sacrifice fly. It put Manila HS in front, 3-2. For the day, Medina drove in one run.

"Exciting game to play in," said Medina. "Getting the win makes it even better."
