The Skagway Prospectors got a superb performance from first baseman Rafael Sandoval, but the Sitka Capitals still won the game, 8-4. Sandoval went 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times. The winner in relief was Daragh Catt. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 3 innings. In the top of the second inning, catcher Bob Guzmán came through big-time for the Capitals. With Sitka trailing 3-0, he belted a 3-run home run.
