The Taiwan Tech University Typhoon beat the Rikkyo University Bishops, 7-0. Taiwan Tech University pitcher and Takarazuka, Japan, native Kosami Ohayashi led the way. Ohayashi got the win, improving to 4-1. He allowed 4 hits and walked 1 over 5.1 innings. Ohayashi allowed no runs. The first-place Typhoon improved to 12-11.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Typhoon had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the top of the third, when catcher Ye-qing Loh hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Yorikane Shiraishi and made the score 2-0, Typhoon. Loh was 1-4 with a walk.
"Today was a lot of fun," said Loh.
