Crocs Shut Out Fire, 2-0
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the Outback State University Crocs and the Chuo University Fire, Samuel Worboys was the difference-maker. The Outback State University right-hander spearheaded the 2-0 win. Worboys, the winner, moves to 2-2. He threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up no walks. The Crocs saw their win-loss record go to 16-20. At the same time, the Fire fell to 15-21.
Outback State University grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Mark Leveque delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 1-0 in favor of the Crocs.
"Samuel just went about his business, throwing strikes," said Outback State University manager Tomohiko Tanaka.
