University of Sydney pitcher Terence Dundon did his part in helping his team beat the Taiwan Tech University Typhoon, 2-0. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Dundon, now 1-0, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 2, walking 3, and allowing no runs. Christos Galpin nailed down his 9th save.
University of Sydney relied on the hitting of Edward Ellison to pick up the win. The shortstop clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Wallabies on top, 2-0. For the game, Ellison had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Winning never gets old," said Ellison.
University of Sydney is last in the Pacific League Down Under Division with a record of 20-27.
