Terrors Raise Rally Flag, Beat ETH Zurich, 4-1
|
Starting pitcher Nobuatsu Shirai was a major factor in the 4-1 Hamilton Canada Terrors triumph over the ETH Zurich Physicists. Ren-qing Seema was called on to finish, recording his 1st save. After losing, ETH Zurich is 3-1.
Hamilton Canada needed the clutch hitting of Anzai Tanaka to notch the win. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Terrors on top, 4-1. For the game, Tanaka had 1 home run and 1 single in 2 at-bats.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Terrors manager Julián Carrasco, "I like our chances."
